Nadia: I am sorry I did not see your bio earlier. We have had a consultation with a stager that quite frankly provided us with little insight. He told us to paint certain rooms (which we had already planned to do) but other than that - little else. We have a large home and I have lots and lots of family picture framed and on the walls (ex. going up our staircase). This stager told us to leave them up - from everything I have heard you are to depersonalize and take them down - can you weigh in on this issue? Much appreciated.

Hi, Thank you for your question. I always recommend to depersonalise a home (ie. all family pictures) for the two following reasons: first they are a detraction some people are very curious and are looking at all these pictures and not concentrating on the house ,do I know these people? What are your rates for staging? Where do you recommend furniture rental for staging?

Hi, My consultation fee is $100/hr, (2hr minimum), after the first 3hrs I drop the fee to $75/hr. An average home takes 2hrs. I go room by room and comment on all aspects of the room flooring, lighting, paint, on what to remove etc...I leave the client with a booklet, which consist of bullet... [ more ]

Hi Nadia, We are planning to do a kitchen reno. Although we may consider to sell our home in the future if we can find a property that will meet our criteria, we just don't want to do a cosmestic refacing job. We need your professional advises what to choose a kitchen style that will appeal to the majority, and doesn't look cheap. We live in Bridlewood Kanata. Hope you'll have time to visit us!
