Bio
A proven sales professional, Laura Hillary brings vast business experience and an extensive network to Royal Lepage Team. She began in the real estate industry in the early 80’s and continues to put her winning formula to work for her clients. Her motto has always been:; "Ensure a win-win for buyers and sellers alike".
Laura currently holds the position of Sales Representative at Royal Lepage Team Realty where she has been a sales leader in the preparation and marketing of homes for Sellers, as well as guiding Buyers to find these Sellers. With her “whatever it takes to get the job done” attitude, making the process of preparing your house to sell for top dollar in the time frame that the Seller wants is the cornerstone of her success.
Laura has over 14 years of Commercial and Residential real estate experience with a background in Property Management. She has a demonstrated track record of sales success wile being ranked as one of the top sales agents. Laura credits hard work, lots of research and a genuine love of dealing with people as her motivation for success. She has extensive experience in the development and delivery of large programs and events beginning with her career as a Special Events Co-coordinator in the Ottawa marketplace and continuing on as the Regional Manager, Eastern Ontario for a National Children’s charity. In these roles she honed her skills at marketing, recruiting, training, talent development, fund raising, program development and delivery and financial accountability. Laura was responsible for media relations and was a frequent contributor as writer and spokesperson to local television, print and radio interviews.
In addition to her extensive business and real estate sales background Laura Hillary is a professional entertainer and visual artist who has opened for Bob Newhart and singer Carol Channing at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa. She has also toured Canada as part of the Armed Forces 50th Anniversary celebrations of the ending of the Second World War, recently appearing as a feature performer in “Chantons Noel” and “Swing Fever” at the Casino Lac Leamy.
Laura is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario with a major in English Literature. She has served on the Board of Directors of the Kanata Chamber of Commerce, is active in the community and a frequent volunteer. As a visual artist, Laura indulges her passion for horses. Her paintings are highly regarded for her ability to define and capture the connection people have with horses. She resides in Stittsville with her two children, husband, their two dogs and her young horse (he actually resides off site at a great barn in Ashton).
